Liam Payne and Zayn Malik connect in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’

On the Weekly Top 20 this week, former One Direction member Liam Payne hit the number one spot with his ‘Fifty Shades’ lead-single ‘For You’, a duet with Rita Ora. Meanwhile two new songs debut; ‘Wait’ by Maroon 5 and ‘My My My!’ by Troye Sivan. Both songs have interesting music videos. The former has gimmick of using Snapchat filters while the latter is inspired by Madonna’s Justify My Love music video.

  • ‘All Night’ is the long awaited collaboration between electronic producer Steve Aoki and Fifth Harmony member Lauren [Ha-re-gi]. The song tackles the theme of an unstoppable love that surprisingly feels right.

Wait’ by Maroon 5

  • Did you know that there are two music videos to this song? The first one (released in January) features lead singer Adam Levine using several Snapchat filters while singing along to the song. The other one (released in February) stars Adam and actress Alexandra Daddario as ex-lovers.

My My My!’ by Troye Sivan

  • This song is considered to be Troye Sivan’s most confident song, the lyrics of which tap into themes of freedom, sexuality, and living in the moment. There is also a music video to this song that is inspired by Madonna.

#1 – ‘For You’ by Liam Payne & Rita Ora

  • This was the second time (the second year in a row) that a former One Direction member made a duet with a solo female pop artist for the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack. Last year Zayn Malik collab with Taylor Swift for ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever’, which was the lead single for Fifty Shades Darker. And now Liam Payne teamed up with Rita Ora for this lead single from Fifty Shades Freed.
