  • Sicko Mode” is Travis Scott’s 2nd single off his critically acclaimed album “Astroworld”. The track features Drake and Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd. The term “Sicko Mode” refers to Travis and Drake’s work ethic, showing they’re a cut above the competition by going sicko (or beast) mode.

DebutsWicked Heart” by Sublime with Rome

  • Wicked Heart” is the latest single by Sublime with Rome, a musical collaboration between Eric Wilson of the ska punk group Sublime, and singer and guitarist Rome Ramirez. The group also includes Carlos Verdugo of Tribal Seeds and they are currently recording an album to be released this year. This song, ‘Wicked Heart” will be on that yet-unnamed record.

Debut:Fall” by Eminem ft. Justin Vernon

  • Just like the rest of the songs off Kamikaze, the track “Fall” continues the theme of Eminem criticizing the current state of the hip-hop industry while also responding to the people and friends who criticized his last album “Revival” which received poor reviews last year. In this controversial song, Eminem most notably mentions fellow rapper Tyler, The Creator and commented about his homosexuality.

Debut:I Don’t Wanna Love You Anymore” by LANY

  • This brooding heartbreak song sees front-man Paul Klein deliver emotional and personal lyrics as he tries to come to terms with breaking up with the love of his life, the same person written about in “Malibu Nights”.  The song is included in their latest album which Klein said is “bigger than a break-up album. It is about being human and going through the ups and downs.”

  • Last week Cardi B was busy promoting her new single ‘Money”, released yesterday [Friday]. It is her first solo music since releasing her album “Invasion of Privacy” back in April. The New York rapper also made buzz online when she released an AMSR video of herself whispering to the microphone and talking about motherhood and her song “Bodak Yellow”. [AMSR videos are videos in which the host talks in gentle whispers and make brushing sounds to give viewers a tingling sensation.]

#1:  “Boo’d Up” by Ella Mai

  • American songwriter Joelle James first wrote the song ‘Boo’d Up”  back in 2014 and was intended to be recorded for herself. She however later met Ella Mai and gave the song to her instead after feeling that “synergy of it would be perfect for her”.  Ella first released the song in February of 2017, where from there it slowly gain popularity on social media as well in nightclubs the following year. According to Ella Mai, ‘Boo’d Up” is a “tender but funky ode to someone who makes us feel like we’re touching the ceiling”.
