This morning, YouTube users who tried to access and or upload videos were greeted with “500 Internal Server Error’ and ‘503 Network Error’ messages. Videos won’t load and eventually the Google-owned streaming site went blank. YouTube took to Twitter to apologize for the inconvenience and announced that they are working on resolving the issue.  


Users check on YouTube for countless hours of entertainment. Many students use it for studying and more people including businesses and YouTubers rely on the platform for their livelihood. YouTube experienced a global shutdown for more than an hour and the online community was starting to panic. It seems like “human civilization is now on the brink of collapse”.
