PADS, or the Philippine Accessible Disability Services, Inc., an organization that promotes the individuality of persons with disabilities and their integration as empowered citizens into society, is holding, this June 30, 2019, a half marathon, presented by the Synergy Marine Group, for active, positive, life-loving persons with disabilities who want to race for a cause.
The half marathon will have eight categories: 21K, 21K Deaf, 12K, 6K, 3K Deaf, 3K Crutch, 1K Wheelchair, and 1K Blind-Tandem.
21K
The registration fee for the 21K categories is PHP 950, and the race’s gun time will be at 4:30 a.m. The half-marathon’s route starts and finishes at SM City Cebu, and the turn-around point for the 21K categories will be at Gaisano Talamban.
12K
The registration fee for the 12K category is PHP 850, and the race will start at 4:45 a.m. The turn-around point for this category will be at Cebu IT Park.
6K
To join the 6K category, you will have to pay a registration fee of PHP 750. The race for this category will start at 5:00 a.m., and the turn-around point will be at BDO Ayala.
3K
For both the 3K deaf and 3K crutch categories, the registration fee is PHP 650, and gun time will be at 5:05. The turn-around point for both 3K categories will be at Q5 in Mabolo, between Whitegold and CIC Cebu.
1K
For the 1K categories, wheelchair and blind-tandem, the registration fee is also PHP 650. Gun time will be at 5:10 for the 1K wheelchair category, and 5:15 for the 1K blind-tandem category. And the turn-around point for both categories will be at APM Mall, just near SM City Cebu.
