Former The Voice contestant and YouTuber Christina Grimmie was revealed to be murdered just for being a Christian, and another incident had over 50 people killed in a shooting at a gay nightclub.

On June 11, 50 people were shot dead at a gay Orlando nightclub called Pulse. Fifty were killed and at least 53 were injured in the attack. Not only is this incident the worst mass shooting in US history, but its death toll is the biggest in the United States since September 11, 2001. Lady Gaga Posts a Beacon of Hope

The shooter was identified as Omar Mateem, a 29-year old man born in New York, with Afghan origins. Mateem, armed with an assault-type rifle and handgun was linked to the terrorist group ISIS.

In another incident on June 10, The Voice Season 6 third finalist and YouTuber 22-year old Christina Grimmie was shot three times and died from her inflicted wounds in an attack following a concert she had performed the night before. Grimmie was signing autographs after her concert in The Plaza Live, also in Orlando, Florida. The murderer shot himself in the scene after he was tackled. He was revealed as 27-year old Kevin James Loibl. His motive of killing was also a hate crime. He shot Grimmie for being vocal of her Christianity.

After all these horrific attacks that happened in Orlando, countless celebrities posted their own tributes. One of those famous celebrities is Lady Gaga, who has always been a supporter of LGBTQ and gun control. Gaga condemned the act and encouraged everyone to stand strong with their belief and pride. She posted on Instagram a picture of a rainbow and captioned on the post her tribute to all the people that lost their lives in the senseless terror attack. She encouraged everyone to stick together and heal each other.

In 2015, Lady Gaga performed John Lennon’s song Imagine for the athletes of the European Games. Even if the song was composed 45 years ago, its message still hold up. This is all for the people who lost their lives in Orlando, Florida this weekend.
