Carpool Karaoke is a recurring segment in the American talk show The Late Show which is hosted by English comedian James Corden. The segment features James Corden driving a musical guest around Los Angeles, (or London) while they talk about anything and sing along to the musicians’ songs.
The segment has become a staple of the late night program and it already featured interesting and funny conversations with great musicians like Elton John, Chris Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Sia and more. Here are the best ones:
5. One Direction
James Corden would very well fit perfectly as a fifth One Direction member and he would be as lovable. Niall, Harry, Liam, and Louis joins Corden’s car as they jam out to the tunes What Makes You Beautiful, History, and more. Louis also shared an interesting story about being stalked.
Best moment: James Corden gives the boys matching denim suits and teaches them boy band choreography dance moves for their song No Control.
4. Rod Stewart with A$AP Rocky
This segment of Carpool Karaoke features the legendary rock star Rod Stewart. The former Faces lead vocalist rocks out to his tunes like the classic Maggie May and Da Ya Think I’m Sexy. Stewart shreds the air guitar, shares how they smashed up hotel rooms in the 70s, and talks about “shaggin” and “drinkin”. In the middle of the clip A$AP Rocky makes a cameo by dropping in to jam on his song Everyday which features a sample of Rod Stewart’s vocals.

3. Adele
Reaching 42 million views within 5 days, this segment became the most viral video originating from a late night program. After chugging a mug of tea inside Corden’s car, the English crooner reveals how she is like when she gets drunk. As if flawless rendition of her own hits weren’t enough, Adele positively slays the competition with a jaw-dropping take on Nicki Minaj’s Monster verse and a fun sing-along to Spice Girls’ Wannabe. James Corden also suggests Adele her own squad to beat Taylor Swift.

2. Justin Bieber
Aside from Adele, Justin Bieber is by far the most famous carpool seatmate Cordon ever drove with. It was this segment that showed the people that Bieber is a down-to-earth person in contrast to his notoriety with the paparazzi. Bieber was game for whatever Corden wanted to do or ask. The first of several Carpool Karaoke videos Bieber did with Corden, in this clip and the others we got to see another side of Bieber we don’t normally notice.

Stevie Wonder plans to team up with James Corden and call themselves the Wonder Cats. In between FaceTime calls, the duo would sing along to Wonder classics For Once in My Life, Supersticious¸ and more. You also get treated with a funny intro where Stevie Wonder takes the wheel.
