Kesha Denied by Dr. Luke

"Kesha accepted an invitation to perform on the show and she received written approval from Dr. Luke's record label, Kemosabe Records," Dick Clark Productions said in a statement. “Unfortunately, Kesha and Kemosabe have since been unable to come to an agreement for Kesha to perform on the show."

According to a report from, Kesha was allegedly planning to make direct reference to her legal fight with Dr. Luke during her Billboard Music Awards performance. The singer and the producer has undergone a legal battle after Kesha accused Dr. Luke of abuse and the latter sued the former for slander. Kesha has posted a comment about the BBMA situation on Instagram. She revealed that she intended to cover Bob Dylan’s song It Ain’t Me, Babe.

I just wanted to make very clear that this performance was about me honoring one of my favorite songwriters of all time and has never had anything at all to do with Dr. Luke”, Kesha wrote.
